Grocery Store and Goals

So, here it is.  I have been way way off track, and I am sad to say that I have found my way back into the 290s.  This is not a shock to me.  I  know what I was eating, and I know what I was not doing.  I just got so tired of thinking about what I was going to eat every single second of the day.  it was driving me nuts.  I just wanted to stop thinking about it.  so,  here I am.  I am ready to get back on track.  I went to Goodwill today, and I found the cutest pair of pants. Sad thing is they are so close to fitting, and they would have fit before.  so, I decided to pay the four bucks and make them a goal.  They will fit when I have lost about 2-3 inches off my waist.  So, I am ready to make them fit.

To get myself ready I went to the grocery store and bought a lot of good health food.  When I check out I always think it’s interesting to glance at other people’s carts and see if there is a correlation between their weight and groceries.  What’s interesting is usually overweight people have crap in their cart, but many times really thin people have a cart full of unhealthy processed frozen stuff too.  Then I think how can they eat all of that garbage and stay thin?  I know that will never be the reality for me.

so, here’s to tomorrow and a new week to lose weight.  Today I weighed in at 291, and I hope to see the 280s next week and say adios to the 290s.

I have read/heard many times that it’s best to go to sleep and wake up at the same time 7 days a week.  I can see the wisdom in this information, but I wonder how others feel about it.    following a sleep schedule makes feel to regimented.  Do others feel like this?  Are there people out there that actually follow a regimented sleep schedule?  Do the benefits out weigh the things that you miss out on?  Any thoughts are welcome.  BTW Fitness magazine has a pretty great issue this month.

Dvd Reviews

I know that there are many people out there that like to do fitness videos.  I always wonder what to buy when I am choosing a dvd.  How many of you guys would be interested in a thread that did dvd reviews?  If I get some interested I will start a thread in the fitness section of the forum.  Let me know if you have some interest.

This is what is happening.  This is an internet phenomenon.  These people chose sites for support groups where people can be vulnerable and bully them with out any consequences.  They enjoy people getting upset, and they enjoy people talking about them and what they are doing.  It gives them power.  So, continue to report and block these people, to reduce your interaction with these people, and if we are interested we can post a thread in the forum with people to avoid.  I hope everyone can feel a little better about what is going on knowing what it is.

If you are going to get married then just get married.

My dad called today to ask a simple question, and it came down to we need to sit down and figure out when  I am going to be able to take over my car insurance and my cellphone.  I would just like to say I have a perfect driving history, and my add a line is $15 a month, and I don’t get any help for college I have done the rest on my own.  So, then he decides to tell me that he also wishes that if Robby and I were going to get married that we would just get married.  I would just like to say that you do not need a piece of paper to make you married, and why would I get married when I know that the consequence of me getting legally married is that I no longer have any health insurance, car insurance, and cell phone because I will be cut off.  That really sounds like there is not any incentive for me to get legally married.  On top of that then they want me to have some type of big ceremony and me pay for it.  Well, if I am going to be taking on all of those extra costs with what money am I going to feed all of those people and pay for them to sit somewhere while I get married.

So, I had calmed down then talking to someone else today i get judged for my living arrangements.  So, here’s what I say. F it.  I am married, and if a piece of paper is what it takes for me to get the scarlett letter off my chest I will be making a visit to the JP in September.  So, when I lose my health insurance in Sept b/c of my age i will be making a visit to the jp and leave my scarlett letter behind.  It will be nice to talk about things and not be judged by my living arrangements. Sorry about the rant, but I will add if once I get married people start asking me about when I will have children their will be another rant to add to this one.  Lets hope that they leave that convo alone.  That issue has already been addressed.

Longest Loser 8 Weigh ins

 I have made the weigh in thread for Longest Loser 8.  I will be taking initial weigh ins from today Wednesday Feb 3-Saturday Feb 6.  You can chose any day.  Just make sure that it’s posted in the weigh in thread by Saturday.  We are still accepting new people to the group until Saturday.  After that this episode of Longest Loser 8 will begin.

Longest Loser 8 & stretch marks

 

I have offered myself up to lead longest loser 8.  I have posted an interest thread in the forum under weight loss challenges.  I would like to begin next Sunday February 7.  Just so everyone knows what the longest loser is (copy and pasted from the longest challenge description thread)

I am excited to lead my first buddyslim challenge.  It will be great!  So pop by the interest thread, and I will give more info about mid week.

On the stretch mark front.  I have only lost about 20 pounds, and I was sad to see that my stretch marks has not gotten any lighter.  However this week I looked at my tummy, and they have gotten much lighter.  So whoo hoo for my body healing some of the damage.  That is very exciting for me.  It was great motivation to get back on track and make this week better than last.

Two Pounds per Week

If I lost two Pounds per week this entire year I could be right at 200 pounds.  Right now that sounds absolutely amazing.  For now this is my food for thought.  I want it.
